Portière embroidered in polychrome silk & couched gilt thread on off-white silk ground depicting undulating floral motif w/ birds throughout, multiple lengths w/ seamed through embroidery, likely French, 74” x 153”, (organza applied for conservation at right corners, many 0.25”-2” pulls/wear spots/shatter around embroidery, few tiny-0.75” holes & tears, tarnish & minor loss to metal threads, minor loss to embroidery, heavy shatter to backing) Good. Provenance: Brooklyn Museum.
